AlliCare was founded in September 2011 as a partnership, after the loss of one of the partners’ mother and father to Alzheimer’s. They were both looked after within their own homes right up to their deaths. It was apparent that many agencies are reactive and not proactive about their approach to providing care. This can mean that service users might be visited by several different carers within a single day. With someone suffering from dementia, it is vital to have routine and familiarity.
We have found that as agencies grow rapidly, they cannot continue to deliver the personal care that service users need and that the delivery by carers becomes an impersonal service delivered by whoever is available or on the books of the agency at that time.
AlliCares’ Unique Selling Point (USP) is two-fold. Firstly, we create rounds within a specific area, which covers towns and villages within a small vicinity. Secondly, we recruit within those areas so that carers are not travelling far to reach the clients.
As the business grew the company switched to a limited company in April 2014 with Mr Jon Herbert becoming the sole Director.
AlliCare gives back to local communities by providing excellent quality, bespoke care and employing carers within their local area.
